Thank you to everyone who participated in our $50 Sears gift card giveaway!
We received 61 entries from travelers looking to score travel gear with the gift card. The competition was stiff, but one lucky winner came out ahead in our random drawing.
And the winner is…
Jeremy B. of Budget Travel Adventures!
Jeremy is a writer, dad and all-around nice guy based in Sacramento, California. He’s the founder of Budget Travel Adventures, a website for passionate, budget-savvy travelers.
Jeremy earned extra entries in our contest with frequent RTs on Twitter! You can follow him at @budgettravelsac.
What will Jeremy get with the $50 Sears gift card?
The winner has big plans for the prize:
“With the gift card, I am going to buy a travel first aid kit which I can use traveling close to home or abroad, since I have kids. With the rest of the card, I might buy a hammock so I can relax at home even when not traveling!”
What a great dad!

Great contest! Glad to be the winner – just wished some of this gift card would have helped me build my patio that I am working on right now! 🙂
Congrats Jeremy! You lucky bugger…:)
Congrats Jeremy! You can use the card to buy patio supplies at Sears. When I was renovating an apartment, I bought all my paint there 🙂 Good luck with the project!
You have a patio- not bad in lower Manhattan.
No, I wish! Jeremy has a patio at his home in Sacramento. I’ve purchased paint at Sears to put on my apartment walls. One day perhaps I will have the penthouse with a full deck… 😉
I am glad Jeremy won because he promised to split the bounty with me 🙂 Ha, just kidding. Enjoy your winnings and congrats!
Congrats! Went to a deserving guy and what a great use for it!
Lucky him! Thanks for holding the contest!
Thanks for entering the contest, Maria! I love partnering with Sears because their gift cards are so practical. Who couldn’t use $50 to spend on travel gear?
