I’m a total horror movie junkie and Halloween enthusiast… and this sounds out of my league. I’ll do just about any haunted house but only if I have the hand of a friend to wring as we walk through. All by myself?? — I don’t think so.

It’s definitely scarier when you have to go through alone! I was freaking out beforehand but I’m glad I did it. What a unique experience!

Ciki, you would love this NYC haunted house! If you come with an open mind, you’ll be amazed! It definitely pushed the boundaries in terms of physical touching and sexual situations.

Great exclusive interview. So interesting to read about how things work behind the scenes!

Thanks! I love covering the NYC haunted house beat. It’s a shame that Hurricane Sandy interrupted the run for Blackout. Hope the local haunted houses were able to recoup the loss since the storm came at the worst time for Halloween attractions.

Sounds like they are dodging the questions on sanitation and background checks. I wouldn’t go through that without knowing everything was clean and unused.

I’ve gone to Blackout two years running and haven’t heard of anyone getting sick. I think that is a small risk.
