Wonderful review! The set design is very believable and we loved how we really got a chance to take in the scenes. It was very apparent that they focused on the pacing. I think the part where you have to pick a door and end up in the dark room was intentional, as this is what also happened to us. (“The system only broke down in one room at the beginning of the haunt…”) When we turned to the left before entering that room, a scare actor prompted us to enter that dark room with the door, something along the lines of “Go on, what are you waiting for?”. We passed through some claustrophobic props and then looped around to that second door that you mentioned. It did seem like a mistake at first, but it did seem intentional once we were motioned to go in! Very happy that this year’s haunt was even better than last year’s great haunt!

Thanks for shedding some light on that dark room, Ashley! Perhaps it was intentional– if so, not sure how I feel about it. I think they should have given us a bit more direction to be clear it wasn’t a mistake. If we had the performer prompt us to go in that would have made a difference. Maybe they added that coaxing after the opening weekend! Glad you enjoyed the haunt and thanks again for your comment 🙂
