Great pictures and commentary on the positive side of Cartagena to offset the U.S. tomfoolery. If there are two words I love: it is shenanagins and tomfoolery. Thank you for using shenanigans in a sentence and allowing me to use tomfoolery here in the comment section.

Wow!! Colombia indeed looks amazing. It’s a true SHAME that the country is pinned in only a negative light. I have many friends who have visited the country and say it’s one of the nicest & most beautiful in the world. Once again, you’ve proved that with this wonderful post.

I did go to Cartagena and it is definitely worthy of the nickname the jewel of South America.

Parts of the city are beautiful and part just average. I can’t say I would put it high on my list of places to see but there is definitely a mystery to it with its presence on the news.

The sunset is beautiful to watch from Cafe Del Mar. If anyone is planning to go to Playa Blanca, you can negotiate prices at the port instead of buying a tour from inside the walled city. Fantastic city!
